The DOJ Can't Keep Its Story Straight

Let's start with the basics. As many as 37 pages of the Epstein files that should have been released by the Department of Justice remain unaccounted for.¹ That's after the DOJ finally published memos on Thursday from FBI interviews conducted in 2019 with a woman who alleged that both Jeffrey Epstein and President Donald Trump sexually assaulted her as a minor.²

These memos, known as Form 302s, were written in August and October 2019. The unidentified woman contacted the FBI to allege that sometime in the 1980s, when she was between 13 and 15 years old, Epstein assaulted her in South Carolina and that Trump was present and also assaulted her.

These memos weren't released voluntarily. They came out only after a Wall Street Journal analysis revealed that 47,635 files had been removed from the DOJ's website.³ When pressed, the DOJ said the files had been "taken offline for review" and would be "ready for re-production by the end of the week."⁴ That's nearly 48,000 documents that just vanished from public view without explanation until a journalist caught it.

The DOJ's excuse for withholding the earlier memos? They claimed they were "incorrectly coded as duplicative." Fifteen documents coded wrong. In an archive of millions. And we're supposed to believe that's an innocent clerical error when the "duplicates" just happened to contain the most politically explosive allegations in the entire collection.

Meanwhile, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced in late January that the DOJ had "completed its review" and wasn't expecting to release any more files.⁵ That statement aged like milk left in the sun. Within weeks, CNN discovered that dozens of problematic images, including apparent nude images of minors, had to be re-uploaded with proper redactions after CNN's own analysis flagged them.⁶

The DOJ possesses over 6 million files connected to the Epstein case. It has released roughly 3.5 million. Do the math. Nearly half the archive remains locked away.

The Emails Nobody Will Touch

Now we get to the part that should have every newsroom in America scrambling. And I cannot explain why it hasn't.

Zeteo published a piece covering 17 of the most disturbing emails found in the Epstein files, referencing communications involving Woody Allen, Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Steve Bannon, and Noam Chomsky.⁷

Shortly after the September 11 attacks, Ghislaine Maxwell sent an email to 42 high-profile contacts, including billionaire Thomas Pritzker.⁸ The email contained a fictional story set in the year 2032. It describes a father and son walking through lower Manhattan. When the son asks what "Arabs" were, the father explains they were a people who destroyed the Twin Towers in 2001, after which the world "united to eliminate them entirely."⁹

Read that again. Ghislaine Maxwell, the daughter of one of the most well-documented intelligence assets of the 20th century, circulated a fantasy about the complete eradication of the Arab people to dozens of the most powerful individuals on the planet, and she did it while the rubble was still smoking.

And nobody in mainstream media thought that was worth a headline.

"Where Is the Real Pilot?"

One week after 9/11, on September 18, 2001, a man named Philip Levine sent Ghislaine Maxwell an email with a single line: "Where is the real pilot?"¹⁰

That's it. That's the whole email. One week after 19 hijackers commandeered four commercial aircraft, someone in Maxwell's orbit is asking her about "the real pilot."

Maybe it's nothing. Maybe it's about a boat. Maybe it's the biggest coincidence in the history of electronic communication. But you know what you do when you find something like that? You investigate. You pull the thread. You figure out who Philip Levine is, what his relationship to Maxwell was, and what possible context could explain that question seven days after 3,000 Americans were murdered.

That's called journalism. And not a single legacy media outlet has done it.

The Shadow Commission on 9/11

On January 6, 2003, an email arrived in Ghislaine Maxwell's inbox from Edward Jay Epstein, a journalist whose claim to fame was writing "Inquest," a 1966 critique of the Warren Commission's investigation into the JFK assassination. The subject line read: "Shadow Commission Invitation."¹¹

The body of the email asked Maxwell: "Any interest in being on the shadow commission on 9/11? The membership list is secret, at Epstein."

There was a secret, parallel commission investigating 9/11. The membership list was confidential. And they were recruiting Ghislaine Maxwell, whose father, Robert Maxwell, was described in the book "Robert Maxwell, Israel's Superspy" as having stolen American nuclear secrets and shared them with the Soviet Union on behalf of Israeli intelligence.¹²

Maxwell reportedly declined the invitation. But the questions that remain are enormous. Who else was on this shadow commission? What did they conclude? Did their findings influence the official 9/11 Commission Report? And why has no major American news outlet pursued this?

Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks was among the first major media figures to cover these emails publicly, stating that they "fundamentally change the narrative around the Epstein-Maxwell network." He caught significant heat for it.¹⁴ The establishment media's response was not to investigate the emails but to mock Uygur for asking questions about them. That tells you everything you need to know about who our national press actually works for.

The Intelligence Connections They Won't Report

The media's refusal to cover Maxwell's intelligence connections is perhaps the most damning indictment of American journalism in my lifetime.¹³

Robert Maxwell didn't just dabble in espionage. He was the spy. The book detailing his operations alleges he stole American nuclear secrets and facilitated their transfer to the Soviet Union in exchange for concessions that benefited Israel. When this was discovered, nobody arrested him. The reasoning? It would "embarrass the Israelis" and cause an "international incident."

If a foreign asset steals your nuclear secrets, the appropriate response is prosecution, not diplomatic sensitivity. But that's the world we live in.

His daughter picked up where he left off. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who chairs the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, has publicly stated she believes Epstein ran an intelligence-gathering "honey pot" operation.¹⁵ The House Oversight Committee under Chairman James Comer has issued subpoenas to the DOJ, banks, the Epstein estate, and Maxwell herself.¹⁶

Maxwell, for her part, invoked the Fifth Amendment during her February 9, 2026 deposition before the Oversight Committee. But her attorney made a remarkable statement: Maxwell would testify fully if granted clemency, claiming she could prove both Trump and Clinton are "innocent" regarding her operations.¹⁷

Think about what that means. She's not saying she has nothing to offer. She's saying she has so much that she needs a deal before she'll talk. And the government that supposedly wants transparency is not taking her up on it.

Drop Site News has reported that Epstein worked with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak to channel financing through Rothschild banking connections into Israeli cyberweapons companies.¹⁸ The Israeli prime minister stayed at Epstein's house 30 times. Israeli intelligence operatives stayed at his properties. He donated to the IDF. He procured cyber weapons for Israel. He had photographs of himself wearing an IDF sweatshirt. And not one legacy media outlet has connected these dots in a single report.

FAIR, the media watchdog, noted that corporate media has systematically avoided covering Epstein's ties to Israeli intelligence.¹⁹

The Offshore Empire

The intelligence work was only one layer. Maxwell founded the TerraMar Project in 2012, which she claimed was a non-profit dedicated to protecting international waters. The organization disbursed almost no money for actual conservation. Instead, it focused on advocating for a "Global Ocean Passport" and legal recognition of international waters as a distinct entity.²⁰

The New York Times noted that TerraMar gave no grants between 2012 and 2017 while running unusually high accounting and legal fees. The project shut down on July 12, 2019, days after Epstein's arrest.

Maxwell obtained a helicopter pilot license and certifications for operating submersibles, leading to documented speculation that she and Epstein were exploring the creation of mobile bases in unregulated waters, outside the reach of any national jurisdiction.²¹

Before his death, reports surfaced that Epstein was looking to expand his island holdings beyond Little St. James. Travel logs and testimony suggest he and Maxwell scouted locations in the Pacific and Mediterranean for what investigators have called "Black Box" islands, territories intended to serve as both physical retreats and secure, offshore data havens beyond the reach of federal subpoenas.

What We're Actually Looking At

I'm connecting dots based on publicly available evidence, not claiming to have all the answers. But the picture that emerges is hard to ignore.

Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell operated what appears to be an intelligence and influence operation with connections to at least one foreign government. They built relationships with the most powerful people on earth. They constructed infrastructure, both physical and financial, designed to operate outside the reach of any single nation's legal system. And when the operation was exposed, the response from our government was not to investigate fully but to manage the fallout.

The DOJ has had these emails since 2001. The "shadow commission" email, the "where is the real pilot" email, the 2032 genocide fantasy: they've had all of it for a quarter century. And they sat on it.

This is how modern empire actually works. Not through military conquest but through financial entanglement and sexual blackmail of key decision-makers. The Epstein network represents what happens when you give the state unlimited power to conduct "national security" operations. It becomes a criminal enterprise that serves foreign interests while claiming to protect American ones.

Our government is compromised. That's not conspiracy theory. That's what the documents show. When nearly 48,000 files disappear from a public database and the only reason we know is because a Wall Street Journal reporter counted them, that's not incompetence. That's policy.

The heroes of this story are few. Reps. Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie co-authored the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was signed into law in November 2025, forcing the DOJ's hand.²² Without them, we would never have gotten these emails. They have since called for the appointment of a Special Master to compel full DOJ compliance with the law.²³

I don't have all the answers. Nobody does yet. But I know this: if you're not asking questions after reading what's in these files, you're exactly the kind of person that the corrupt elements inside our government love. Compliant. Quiet. Programmable.

Stop being that person. Read the files. Ask the questions. And don't let anyone tell you that curiosity about your own government's actions makes you a conspiracy theorist. It makes you an American.
